Entries in parties (12)
A few photos from Dylan's first birthday party a few weeks ago... (Above, my mom's chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, one of the best parts of birthdays when my brother and I were growing up.)
Of course we had to make a bunting banner for the occasion. (Not to mention: tons of party hats.)
The birthday boy! All of the party decorations were inspired by this hat and he refused to wear it.
Love this little family photo from our friend Anna's Instagram—maybe my favorite shot of the day. Thank you so much to all the friends and family who celebrated with us and made it such a special day!!
We're super-excited to be DJing the Mom Inc book launch party, tomorrow night at West Elm! The subject—running a business from home—is near and dear to my heart, and I'm eager to snag a copy and see what authors Meg and Cat have to share. Plus, local design moms from Yellow Owl Workshop, Petit Collage, and Chewing the Cud will be selling their wares. We hope to see you there! (Details here.)
Fog & Laser returns to the Rickshaw Stop tonight with special guest Little Wings!! Join us for an indie/electro dance party extravaganza with visuals by Xavier Gomez, drink specials from Root & Snap, laser portraits, and of course: fog machines and laser beams.
Highlights from the first Fog & Laser below. Hope to see you tonight!
First, we're really honored to be featured in Anthology's Issue No. 3, which is on sale now! The theme is "Life Is A Party", so we had a great time talking to Kate about music and DJing, plus sharing a day-in-the-life as we got ready for a night at Debaser. You can see a sneak peek of the issue online here, or find out where to pick up your own copy here.
And the second bit of news is: there are actually three people in the Anthology photo series — we're expecting a baby boy in late September, and Sandy was two months pregnant at the time of the shoot! We're beyond excited and can't wait to meet the newest member of our family!! (And we think the article will be such a neat little time capsule for our little one someday.)
